Igbo Cultural Support Network (ICSN) presents ‘Youth Development Weekender’
ICSN is a hub for young professional Igbo’s aged 18 to 40yrs in the diaspora. We believe in empowering/supporting ourselves and learning more about our rich culture including our language. We are an inclusive organisation and now want to extend our reach to support our younger brothers and sisters.
August 18-20th 2017 (Friday–Sunday). For ages 13 to 18yrs.
Growing up in any inner city can be tough. We know some of the dangers that face our young people especially on the streets. It is so important that we remind our young people of their identity.
As such, we want to take young Igbos (13 – 18 year olds) on a weekend residential to help with their personal, cultural and career development. Here, they will have access to ICSN members who are in highly skilled and in various professional fields. We will have workshops on the Igbo language, history and culture.
To keep the youth entertained, the weekend will also be filled with many outdoor teambuilding activities such as jet skis, crate stacking, archery and much more.
We want to start building good relationships with our young people so that they know ICSN is here to look out for their interests.
The total cost for the weekender is £150 and includes travel, activities, workshops and food. The location for the weekender is Upminster, Essex.
We only have availability for 30 young people, so please register your interest as soon as possible via email email@example.com or call 07914696543. A small £30 deposit is required per young adult to guarantee their place.
